Illinois Disaster Area Information

Due to the recent flooding, Trustmark is aware of the issues many consumers face.

In response to the Illinois Division of Insurance Bulletin CB2008-04, we have taken the
following actions for all insureds who live in counties that have been declared disaster areas by Gov. Blagojevich or President Bush:

  • Coverage will not be cancelled between June 10th and August 18th, 2008, if reason for cancellation is due to premium not being received during that time. If you received a cancellation notice during that time period, coverage will be reinstated with no lapse until August 19, 2008.  However, any outstanding premium owed must be paid to Trustmark within 60 days of the end of the premium grace period otherwise applicable to your coverage.
  • Trustmark will extend the deadline for up to 60 days for submitting any required information, such as claims or underwriting information.
  • If you are displaced from your home as a result of the disaster and are not reasonably able to receive medical care of treatment from an in-network provider, Trustmark, when made aware of such circumstance, will consider your situation when determining the appropriate rate of reimbursement.
