J. Grover Thomas Jr.
Chairman, Trustmark
J. Grover Thomas Jr., Chairman of Trustmark Mutual Holding Company, has been in the insurance industry for more than 30 years.
Thomas is Past Chairman and Director of America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), the principal policy-making body of the health insurance industry and the Medical Information Bureau (MIB) Group, Inc. He is current Chairman of Crioestaminal-Saúde e Tecnologia, SA (Portugal), is on the board of directors of USHealth Group, is a trustee of the Actuarial Foundation and the Georgia State University Foundation, and is Chairman of Freedom from Hunger.
A native of Kingman, Ariz., Thomas holds a bachelor's degree from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, and an MBA from Georgia State University, where he was the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award in 1997. He is also former president of Georgia State's Alumni Association.
David M. McDonough
Chief Executive Officer, Trustmark
David M. McDonough has more than 30 years of marketing, financial services and risk management experience. Prior to being named CEO in March 2005, McDonough served as President and Chief Operating Officer.
Previously, McDonough was with Milwaukee-based Assurant Health, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
McDonough is currently Chairman of the Board of the Illinois Life Insurance Council. He is on the board of directors of America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) and also serves on its Executive Strategy Task Force. In addition, he is a board director for the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
A native of Simsbury, Conn., McDonough holds a bachelor's degree from Central Connecticut State University, a master of science degree from the University of Mass., Amherst, and a master of arts degree from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn.
Joseph L. Pray
President and Chief Operating Officer, Trustmark
Joseph L. Pray became President and Chief Operating Officer of the Trustmark Companies in 2010, and has direct responsibility for the company businesses, including CoreSource, Trustmark Group Benefits, Starmark, Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions and Trustmark Affinity Markets.
He joined Trustmark in 2002 as Vice President of Sales, Voluntary Benefit Solutions, and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2007. Prior to joining Trustmark, Pray served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Greater Georgia Life Insurance Co., a subsidiary of Cerulean Companies/Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Pray earned a bachelor of science in both accounting and data processing from Ferris State University, and holds designations of Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant.
J. Brinke Marcuccilli, CPA
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Trustmark
Brinke Marcuccilli joined Trustmark in 2000 as Senior Vice President. He has been in the insurance industry for more than 25 years, and has served in previous positions as Chief Financial Officer at Fortis Long Term Care, Connecticut Mutual/Mass Mutual and a significant business within the former Provian Corporation. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky and completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School. Marcuccilli, a Certified Public Accountant, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Warren R. Schreier, FLMI, CLU, AALU
Executive Vice President, Consumer Health Advice Business Integration and Individual Medical, Trustmark
Serving Trustmark for more than 40 years, Warren Schreier has extensive experience in all aspects of the insurance business. He became Senior Vice President of the Group Benefits division in 1992, of Voluntary Benefits in 1993, of Corporate Administration in 1999, and of Starmark and Affinity Markets in 2005. He was named Executive Vice President, Affinity Markets, Group and Starmark in 2007, of Employer Group Medical and Individual Medical in 2007, and of Consumer Health Advice Business Integration and Individual Medical in 2010.
Schreier has a bachelor's degree in marketing and business administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana, and is a graduate of Northwestern University's Executive Development Program. He holds the insurance designations of Fellow, Life Management Institute, Chartered Life Underwriter and Associate, Academy of Life Underwriting.
