ABOUT USTrustmark FoundationTrustmark's unique two-level, community-service commitment involves employees working as individuals and together with the company to give back to the community and improve the quality of life for all. The Trustmark Foundation, established in 1984, actively supports community involvement through program donations and volunteerism. The Foundation distributed more than $1.2 million in cash and gifts-in-kind in 2007. Foundation grants and programs directly support the United Way, community health, safety and education including college scholarships for children of employees and urban and cultural enrichment. As a health insurance carrier, Trustmark supports health education programs such as IMPACT, a joint venture with Lake Forest Hospital that awards grants to local teachers who promote healthy lifestyles through innovative educational programs. For the 2008 school year, Trustmark awarded 62 grants totaling more than $54,000 to teachers in Lake County, Ill. |
