Change leads to innovation
When we revisited our critical illness (CI) product design, we asked: Why has CI stayed relatively unchanged since it was introduced to the market 30 years ago? And why are a third of CI claims in the industry getting denied?1 We realized it was time to seriously think about what this product should look like for our policyholders today and in the future. Changing how CI insurance is designed would be necessary, but we knew change would lead us to an effective and innovative finished product.
