STOP NO. 3: CANNES

Cannes is both glamorous and historical. The remains of a fortified tower and centuries-old Gothic church sit atop the highest point in the Old Town, where views are among the best in Cannes. Sleek mega-yachts wade in the Old Port and endless designer boutiques line La Croisette, the palm-fringed boulevard that runs along the beach. And at Festival Palace, where the Cannes Film Festival takes place, celebrity handprints and signatures can be found in the pavement, including those of Gerard Depardieu, Jean-Paul Belmondo and Sophia Loren.

Maison des Vins

Wine Country

If you’re a wine enthusiast, then Cannes is calling your name. You’ll have the opportunity to select from hundreds of different bottles from Southern France at the modern cellar of Maison des Vins. It’s a great time to learn about the history, geography and production of the wines, and how to serve, smell, taste and enjoy the varieties. The charming Chateau St. Martin is also another viniculture gem located in the southern hemisphere of Provence. Be sure to taste the rosé wine, it’s the most characteristic of the region.
