Amsterdam, Netherlands

Amsterdam will dazzle you with its wonderful history, architecture, and culture. Stroll along canals and over any of the city’s 1500 bridges in this historic and picturesque city sometimes referred to as the “Venice of the North”. Both the political and cultural capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam is home to over 50 museums including the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House. Many of the city’s museums are found at the Museumplein.

After exploring the city and its museums, you can unwind by experiencing one of Amsterdam’s most famous attractions; it’s nightlife. The city’s Red Light District is one of Amsterdam’s most popular tourist destinations. While the Red Light District shows a racier side of the nightlife, Amsterdam has plenty to offer in any of the city’s hundreds of bars, restaurants, and night clubs. If you’re lucky enough to visit Amsterdam in April, you’ll be able to experience Queens Day — a national holiday and city-wide celebration of the nation’s royal family complete with music, dancing, and drinking.
